Received from Gregg Bambo:
FYI,
Jennifer and I talked to Pete’s wife Kathy and Pete for a short time tonight. Pete is not doing too well. He has had progressive Alzheimer’s for several years.Last week his heart went into A-Fib and his heart rate was racing between 100-150. A CAT scan showed a very thin heart wall and they didn’t know if he would make it through the night! The hospital got him somewhat stabilized and sent him home with 24 hour Hospice Care. I did talk to him for a few minutes but you could tell he was disoriented. Kathy said the doctors said his time could be short if the heart wall ruptures.
Kathy sounded good considering the situation. They are in Sandy, Utah. Both son’s, their wives and four grandchildren are also there. Their youngest, Cassidy and his family are actually living with them while their house is being remodeled. Kathy said it helps to have some grand kids to hug on. They had recently sold their SLC home where they have lived for 35 years, in one day! They had plans to move full time to their Balboa home in September. Not sure what will happen if Pete passes. Kathy had joined an Alzheimer’s support group which have been helpful.
Say a prayer for Pete and his family. I will keep you advised.
