Wallybird Luncheon
Ladies and Gents,
I have been gently corrected concerning the luncheon price.
Those of you who have been attending will remember that the cost was NOT $20!
LUNCH, INCLUDING TAX AND GRATUITY IS $28.00
It IS WORTH IT!
Mea Culpa
See you and 22 others tomorrow.

Wallybird Luncheon
Our speaker for Thursday, 19 July is Tom Gehman who will talk about his experiences in the A4 Skyhawk.
Ken Koster has told me that Dr. Rich Sugden, CDR, USN, Retired said he knows of Tom and would like to hear what he has to say
but, that he can’t attend. He expressed a desire to have someone video Tom’s presentation and send it to him.
I suppose anyone could do that with their smart phone and the share it through an attachment to an email.
Any volunteers?
If so email me at pjbro5790@att.net
BTW, Dr. Sugden owns The Teton Air Museum.
Check out the rich array of beautiful ($$$$) aircraft at :

Thanks,

July Wallybird Luncheon
The Luncheon and Program are coming together nicely. Allan Cartwright’s guest speaker, Tom Gehman will talk to us about his fun times
in the A4 Skyray (Scooter). Yeah, I know. Well, there will be someone there to satisfy you Phantom II fans too.
Tom Goldt might want to tell us about those fun times when he made a few trips in his F4 to “Downtown.”
Reg Hearn will bring his daughter, Robyn Price with him. And Bruce Cowee will bring us up to date on the near birth of Volume 3
of “Vietnam To Western Airlines.”
Spouses and friends are welcome. Just don’t surprise me on the day of the event. Are you listening, Gorrilla?

My Mistake
Hi Wallybirds,
I made a huge mistake concerning Our speaker, Tom Gehman.
Tom will talk about his adventures in the McDonnell Douglas F4 Phantom II
not the A4 as I previously wrote.
My apologies.

Wallybird Luncheon Speaker
I neglected to identify our Mystery Speaker.
Allan Cartwright has enlisted Tom Gehman to tell us about his many adventures in the much revered
Douglas A4 Skyhawk, fondly remembered by some as the “Scooter.”
Now weigh anchor and sail to OAK with us.

Devastating news for any parent…. sad news to share with the passing of Shannon Thompson, 39 year old son of WA/DL Captain Gary & Brigitte Thompson. Shannon passed unexpectedly early Thursday morning due to a medical condition. He is survived by his parents, his brother, his 3yr old daughter, plus many other dear friends and family members. Shannon had most recently been working for the Boeing Company in Mesa and had resided in Mesa, Arizona. Shannon was an organ donor….many lives have benefitted from Shannon’s organ, eye, tissue donations. An avid dog lover, his favorite charity is the ASPCA. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to ASPCA in Shannon’s name. Brigitte has set up a fundraiser account to benefit ASPCA … please see below. It’s with great sadness that we inform all friends and family of Shannon G. Thompson of his untimely passing. We will miss his warm smile, his big heart and his loving hugs terribly.
Given his great love of dogs, we have set up this fundraiser for those who would like to contribute something in his memory to help support the ASPCA.
He will be missed by us as well as everyone that knew him. He brought a lot of joy into our lives, and we appreciate any contributions in celebration of his life.
Want to join me in supporting a good cause? I’m raising money for ASPCA and your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your support. I’ve included information about ASPCA below.
From rescue to recovery to adoption, the ASPCA is there for animals every step of the way. We pride ourselves in not just saving lives, but in changing them for the better—and none of it would be possible without the support of people like you.
